This year, FOSS XR is held together with two other events : X.Org developer's conference and WineConf. All three events are free to attend and open to the general public.

[Oct 5 + Oct 6] FOSS XR is the event for Free and Open Source XR developers and enthusiasts interested in all things Free and Open-source XR (OpenXR, Monado, xrdesktop, ILLIXR, ALVR, LOVR, Northstar and Atmos open-hardware projects, etc...)

[Oct 4 -> Oct 6] The X.Org Developer's Conference is the event for developers working on all things Open graphics (Linux kernel, Mesa, DRM, Wayland, X11, etc.).

[Oct 5 + Oct 6] WineConf is the annual technical meeting for developers and supporters of the Wine Project, a key consumer of open graphics.

Who is this for

This conference is for everyone interested in VR/AR/MR and Free software. With many projects like Monado, Project North Star, libsurvive, ILLIXR, relativ, OpenHMD and others working on freely available drivers and hardware, FOSS applications and software working on free driver and api integration, universities and commercial companies embracing the power of Open Source, the FOSS XR Conference is there to bring the community together and give a podium to the future of XR.

Call for participation!

If you are working with or on Open Source XR, drivers, applications, tracking, research or similar, please send in a proposal. We have timeslots of 20-60 minutes, depending on the amount of presentations and the amount of proposals send in. Deadline for submitting a talk or presentation proposal is September 5th.
